Expert Review of Mine Site Compliance for Operator, Chile

Geocentric was retained to review and assess the effectiveness of the conventional Mercury (Hg) remediation system and water balance at mine in Chile The purpose of the evaluation was to review the status of the conventional Mercury (Hg) groundwater remediation system to evaluate the effectiveness of the system, potential gaps or project risks associated with the current system and an evaluation of the general hydrogeological site conditions and interpretations completed to date. The work included the development of new Conceptual Site Models, and a final report with the interpretations, data gap summaries and recommendations for short term to long term to advance site permitting and site closure documentation to the regulators. Presentations were made to senior Corporate experts to advance current strategies.
