Asset Library #
This software has a library of existing objects, sorted into different categories. These include buildings, geology, landscapes, mining, monitoring, receptors, structures and surface water objects. All of these can be positioned, rotated and scaled.
Active Assets #
Once an object has been added to your model, it will appear in the list of active assets.
Active assets can be filtered by category, much like within the asset library,
Show/Hide Objects #
To toggle the visibility of objects, click the ‘eye’ symbol.
Sometimes when reloading a model, the ‘eye’ may not accurately affect object visibility. It may require two clicks instead of one to toggle the first time. This is a known issue and will be resolved in a future update.
Renaming Objects #
Objects can be renamed in the active asset list by pressing F2 while selected. This is often very important if there are multiple of the same object (e.g. monitoring wells) in a model.
Move, Rotate, Scale #
The primary way to manipulate models is through moving, rotating and scaling models on the X, Y and Z axes.
Transformation | Keyboard Shortcut |
Move | E |
Rotate | R |
Scale | T |
Move #
Objects can be moved along a single axis by an arrow, or on two axes by selecting a plane. Objects can be moved to a precise location by specifying the coordinates.
Rotate #
Objects can be rotated around an axis using the circles. Objects can be rotated precisely by specifying the degrees of rotation.
Scale #
Objects can be scaled on an axis by using the lines, or scaled uniformly using the central white cube. Objects can be scaled precisely by specifying the scale factor.
